I received the set a couple of days ago. Everything was packaged perfectly and in great shape with no broken pieces. Started playing on it and enjoying the beauty of the marble. A great chess set.

Gorgeous Set

I'm very satisfied with my purchase and consider the pieces and board to be an elegant chess set ideal for display and, of course, playing chess.

The pieces are marble, which is not a hard stone, so I would not let young kids play with it. While the description says the pieces do not have felt mine did. The board is heavy, marble is dense, and compliments the pieces nicely. I like that the queen is Staunton design which is difficult to find in marble sets.

Overall this is an ideal gift for yourself or a chess fan.
