Good book to fill in some gaps

I wish I had this book back in 1971. This book provides a systematic approach of building up your chess skills. It is interesting to read and not too wordy. The exercises are well thought out and help you track your weak areas. I'm coming back to the game after some years off. This is what I needed to get back into the game again. It works well as a self study text. I was happy chess house had this item on hand.
