Product Specs
Very thin veneer over 1/4 " pressboard. Won't last long. Awkward shape, hard to carry. I modified the hardware so I could carry it with one hand. (See attached) Sized well to fit my 3 3/4" pieces.

These are nicely made boxes but they are not solid walnut but a lightweight walnut veneer plywood. That said, they are well made, have a nice hinge and chrome clasp to securely keep the pieces inside. I purchased one to house my entire chess set but discovered only one color set of pieces would fit, so I had to order another one for the other color. Set your pieces on the table and measure them and compare with the dimensions for any box you purchase to avoid my mistake. Shipping times were less than the date quoted for delivery, so thank you Chess House!
I could not find anything like it anywhere, and it's exactly what I needed-- latch and all. I will buy again if I need another one like it.
